Overview

ATF heavy carrier, available in Albion Prelude, commonly spawned in sectors under attack by the Argon.

Background

Designed originally as a possible replacement for the AGI Task Force's Odin-class Carrier, the new Woden-class is designed to be even more flexible in its role, causing many to say it is not even a proper carrier. It was eventually decided that the Woden-class would be produced in small numbers and be deployed in less conventional carrier roles, while the Odin class remains the mainstay carrier of the fleet.

Physical Characteristics

The Woden looks broadly like other Terran ships, but its metal is a darker grey, and it has metal spikes eerily reminiscent of the Xenon and Terraformer ships the AGI task force was formed to fight.

Combat

Thanks to its heavy shielding and powerful broadside of 8 PSPs, the Woden is one of the few carriers capable of holding its own against an M2. Still, a Tyr does that role better in the ATF's fleet, but the Woden is unparalleled in offering fire support for its own fighter wing.
